“LearningRx is our last try”
We met with Mandy today, she’s going to be Jake’s trainer at LearningRx. I feel comfortable with her, she was reassuring and really seems dedicated to what she does. Also, Jake seemed okay with her, which is great. He usually doesn’t take to strangers.
Mike explained to Mandy how Jake couldn’t figure out anything, even simple stuff like A to B, counting 1,2,3, etc. And that nobody else had been able really to help him. He explained how, for a long time, we have been re-teaching him everything he learned in school that day, and then he’ll just forget it again. It is so frustrating! I have often thought “why is he even in school?”
Also, we told her how every year it has been a different diagnosis. Like we have been on this roller coaster of diets and things, thinking “oh, oh we found it!” and then we’re always crushed when they don’t work. When Mike said “LearningRx is our last try” I could hear the desperation in his voice. But Mandy didn’t seem worried at all! She just said she was excited to get started. Mike grumbled about that a bit later, he said she didn’t seem to really “get it”. But I think it just shows that she’s confident in the program.
I guess we’ll see.

I am a trainer at Learning RX in Shreveport, LA and meeting a student for the first time is one of my favorite things about training! As a trainer, you know that the parents can be skeptical at first, but you also know that the program works! It is great to look back when a student graduates to the first day and see all that has been accomplished!

I also am a Learning Rx trainer and as a former classroom teacher love the one-on-one work I do with the students and the ability to see such quick results.
